Ault Foods, with $ 2 billion in total revenue, decided it would enhance the effectiveness of its HR function by outsourcing the recruitment function. Staff currently deployed in recruiting functions would be re-assigned to other HR functions.
LSM Consulting was selected via a competition to provide recruiting services for all non-union positions in Ontario and Quebec for Ault Foods. LSM
Consulting was advised it won the contract for the following reasons:
-
We provided a competency model to address Ault's recruiting requirements in an innovative and effective manner.
-
Our service levels were superior.
-
The cost effectiveness of our proposed approach.
-
Ault executives felt LSM was willing and capable of working with them in new ways that the other bidders were not prepare to do--Ault indicated they were looking for a full Partner.
The requirements of the Ault project were demanding: they operated in 15 locations around the country; we needed to provide services in both English and French; we recruited for all functions in their production facilities and for head office positions.
Our approach was to visit all facilities and learn about their unique requirements. LSM staff developed an excellent understanding of their culture and business plans. We designed a new recruitment process and set service level standards allowing Ault and our project team to evaluate progress on a continuous basis.
The resultant savings for Ault amounted to over $300,000 per annum. In addition, Ault executives noted the improvement in the capabilities of new employees, hired through the new recruitment process, managed by LSM
Consulting.
