LSM Consulting provides a flexible, tailored outplacement program, supporting and guiding clients in pursuing their career aspirations. LSM Consulting is unique in comparison to other outplacement firms as our consultants in addition to providing clients with coaching and support also provide an advocacy program.

 

In the advocacy program our consultant and client work closely together drawing on each other’s industry knowledge to develop a mutually agreed to list of targeted employers. Armed with this list our consultant hones in on potential  hiring managers and introduces our client in an honest yet compelling fashion. The ideal out come being a meeting between our client and the prospective employer. LSM Consulting takes on the task of cold calls, the task most outplacement clients dread and therefore fail to do. In a recent executive level program our consultant partnered with a client and achieved the ideal result.

 

Our client a US citizen, while recognizing the need for flexibility in both industry and location in his career search, had determined for personal reasons that his ideal career opportunity would be in Toronto with a major international miner. To add to the challenge our client was not interested in Canada’s largest integrated miner, which left only a handful of 'qualified' potential employers during a time when the mining industry was in a declining mode.

 

Through persistence and diligence LSM Consulting was able to generate interest with one of Canada’s premier international nickel miners. Once interest was established, we supported our client in negotiating a two year contract to become the company’s Chief Development Officer, working for the CEO, COO and CFO.

 

In just six weeks after joining the company our client was appointed to the position of Executive Vice President and CFO of this Canadian based International nickel miner.  Our client achieved his ideal career opportunity in his preferred location in a period of six months as a result of the LSM Consulting advocacy program.
